1. Browse to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]

2.   Make sure the settings are:-

"MigrateProxy"=dword:00000001
"ProxyEnable"=dword:00000001
"ProxyHttp1.1"=dword:00000000
"ProxyServer"=" localhost:portnumber"
"ProxyOverride"=""

(In most cases you will only need to clear the ProxyOverride setting)

3     Login again and IE should pick up the Webroot settings.

4       Done
